Shirley seventh in Golden Isles opener as Lucas Oil wraps up Speedweeks
Finishing up 2026 Speedweeks with the tour, Brian Shirley and the Bob Cullen Racing team rolled into Golden Isles Speedway (Waynesville, Ga.) on Wednesday afternoon for the final four days of the Wieland Winternationals.
Rolling off from the outside pole in the $7,000-to-win opener, Shirley ran seventh to record a Top-10 finish. Brian did not find the same luck on Thursday evening and recorded a DNF before finishing 12th in Friday's main event. Shirley completed the week with a 22nd-place run in the $25,000 finale.
