Shirley races into Dirt Track World Championship during Lucas Dirt finale

Brian Shirley joined the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for the series finale at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) and was one of 59 Super Late Models in attendance for the 45th-annual Dirt Track World Championship.

Shirley finished fifth in his heat race and earned a spot in the $100,000-to-win finale on Saturday by finishing second in his B-Main. Brian went on to finish 25th in the 100-lap main event.
