Sixth-place outing with DIRTcar Summer Nationals at Fairbury Speedway
Taking advantage of an off-weekend from the World of Outlaws, Brian Shirley stuck close to home and competed with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) on Friday evening.
Clocking in third-quickest in his qualifying group, Shirley started second in his heat race before slapping the outside wall which ended his night early.
Looking to redeem himself at Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway on Saturday, Brian made the A-Main and started 13th before making up seven positions to finish just outside the Top-5 in sixth.
