Shirley lands two Top-5 finishes in Southern swing with World of Outlaws

Following the tour for a rare trip to the South, Brian Shirley first checked into Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.) on Friday afternoon for the first of two World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series shows in Georgia.

With just over a full field on hand, Shirley picked up a heat race win and redrew the fourth starting position for the $12,000-to-win main event. Brian made up one spot in the 40-lap feature and ran third behind Nick Hoffman and Bobby Pierce.

As the field bolstered to 35 entries at Senoia (Ga.) Raceway, Brian ran second in his heat race and started seventh in the A-Main. Shirley gained three positions and registered a fourth-place finish in the $15,000-to-win main event.
