Shirley follows World of Outlaws to Wilmot and Cedar lake

Riding the momemtum from his PDC victory, Brian Shirley followed the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series to Wilmot (Wis.) Raceway for a $12,000-to-win show on Tuesday evening ahead of the USA Nationals.

Finishing fourth in a heat race, Shirley started just outside the Top-10 in the 40-lap feature and raced to a Top-10 finish in ninth.

Rolling into Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wis.) on Thursday, Shirley placed 18th in the opening feature before finishing sixth in a heat race on Friday night. Brian charged forward in his last chance showdown to make the $100,000-to-win finale and drove to a 27th-place finish.

Shirley is now seventh in the tour's point standings.
