Brian Shirley competes in Alabama Gang 100 at Talladega Short Track
Brian Shirley and the Bob Cullen Racing team joined the newly-rebranded World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) on Friday afternoon for the Alabama Gang 100.
Losing Friday's opener to Mother Nature, Shirley raced his way into the $50,000-to-win finale by finishing third in a heat race. Brian started ninth in the 100-lapper but faded to finish 16th.
Shirley currently sits eighth in the series point standings.
