Shirley Caps Davenport Weekend With A Fifth Place Run
DAVENPORT, Iowa (August 28, 2023) Rolling three nights with the World of Outlaws?CASE Construction Equipment?Late Model Series this past weekend, Brian Shirley ended the Quad Cities 150 with a fifth-place finish.
Starting the weekend on Thursday, August 24, the Bob Cullen Racing/Rocket No. 3s rallied from 16th to sixth. Starting Friday's A-Feature where Thursday's left off, the 35-lap affair netted an eighth-place showing.
Qualifying ninth for the final 80-lap affair, Shirley rolled into the top five on Lap 46. Making it to fourth in Lap 41, the remainder of the race saw the No. 3s moving in and out of the top five before securing the fifth position on Lap 72.
