Runner-up finish in Garry Swibold Memorial at Peoria

Brian Shirley was one of 22 Late Models on hand at Peoria Speedway (Peoria, Ill.) on Saturday afternoon for the Garry Swibold Memorial.

With a heat race victory placing him on the front row for the $5,098-to-win A-Main, Shirley led laps early but went onto place second in the 50-lapper. He chased Ryan Unzicker to the checkers with Tommy Sheppard Jr. rounding out the podium.
