Brian Shirley scores fourth-place finish in FALS Super Nationals

With a fourth-place finish in his heat race pinning him on the seventh row for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Brian gained two spots in the 40-lap affair to register a 12th-place finish.
On Saturday evening at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.), Shirley secured his spot into the main event with a sixth-to-third run in his heat. With $10,000 on the line, Brian passed six cars in the 50-lapper to finish fourth. He followed Bobby Pierce, Shannon Babb, and Ryan Unzicker across the line with Jason Feger coming in fifth.
Sunday’s Baltes Classic at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) fell victim to Mother Nature.
