Shirley visits Eldora and Brownstown with Castrol FloRacing Night in America

Brian Shirley was one of 49 Late Models on hand at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Tuesday afternoon for the Castrol FloRacing Night in America tour opener. With recent rain showers and a new surface making for a very rough track, Shirley was a scratch from his B-Main after destroying a nose in both his time trial session and heat race. For the second round of the 13-race miniseries on Wednesday at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Ind.), Brian edged his way into the $22,022-to-win A-Main with a fourth-place finish in his heat. Losing six spots in the 50-lap affair, Shirley recorded a 19th-place outing.
