Shirley attends final Silver Dollar Nationals at I-80

After getting behind the eight ball in time trials, the crew discovered mechanical issues that prevented Shirley from competing in his heat race and B-Main.

On Friday with a pair of heat races leading up to Saturday’s Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals finale, Brian followed up an eighth-place finish in the first round with a fourth-to-first showing in his second heat.

With his passing points locking him into the $53,000-to-win A-Main that was postponed to Sunday evening by Mother Nature, Shirley faded two positions in the 80-lap affair to finish 19th.
