Shirley attends USA Nationals at Cedar Lake Speedway

Thursday night saw Bob Cullen Racing and Brian Shirley return with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series at Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wis.) for the 34th annual USA Nationals weekend. With Mother Nature shifting the 12-lapper to Friday afternoon, Shirley fell two spots short of a transfer position with a fourth-place outing.

Later Friday evening for a pair of heat races, Brian recorded a pair of sixth-place finishes, which positioned him 31st overall in passing points.

Slated to start eighth in his B-Main for one final shot at the $50,000-to-win USA Nationals, Shirley was a scratch from competition on Saturday.
