Shirley Records Podium Finish at Farmer City Raceway

Brian Shirley return to the seat of his Bob Cullen Racing No. 3s on Friday night for a Weekly Racing Series event at Farmer City (Ill.) Speedway. In a field of 20 cars, Brian qualified sixth overall and went on to finish second in his heat race to lock into the fourth starting spot on the feature grid. In the main event, Shirley raced to a third-place outing behind race winner Mike Spatola, and Jason Feger. Allen Weisser and Kevin Weaver rounded out the Top-5 finishers.

The team was scheduled to compete in a $2,000-to-win event on Saturday night at Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway. Unfortunately, that event was nixed by rain.
