Brian Shirley Rallies to Top-10 Finish at I-55

A stout field of 63 entries converged at the 1/3-mile oval for the Karl Chevrolet 50. After struggling in time trials, Briand charged to a third-place finish in his heat race, earning him the 16th starting spot for the $7,000-to-win main event.

In the 50-lapper, Shirley slowed on lap four and pitted to change a right-rear tire. Despite less than ideal track conditions, Brian rallied back to a solid eighth-place finish in the final rundown.
