Shirley rips through busy World of Outlaws weekend with three Top-10 finishes
Making one more stop before heading out to the Northeast, Brian Shirley showed up at Marshalltown (Iowa) Speedway on Tuesday afternoon for a $20,000-to-win FloRacing Night in America show.
Finishing third in a heat race, Shirley started 11th in the 50-lapper and drove to a Top-10 finish in ninth.
The Bob Cullen Racing team scorched the earth to Raceway 7 (Conneaut, Ohio) on Thursday evening to start up the four-day World of Outlaws sweep.
Picking up a heat race win among a 28-car field, Shirley redrew the third starting position and held steady to land on the podium behind Tim McCreadie and Ashton Winger.
Losing Friday's opening show at Marion Center (Pa.) Raceway to Mother Nature, Brian picked up where he left on Saturday night as he raced to a fourth-place finish in the $30,000-to-win Connor Bobik Memorial. He trailed Bobby Pierce, Nick Hoffman, and Ryan Gustin while Ethan Dotson completed the Top-5.
Shirley wrapped up the extremely busy week with a sixth-place outing in the Billy Wynn Classic at Beford (Pa.) Speedway on Sunday evening.
Shirley is currently sixth in the series point standings.
