Brian Shirley follows World of Outlaws South to Swainsboro Raceway
Heading to the deep South for the weekend, Brian Shirley was one of 42 Late Models checked in at Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway on Friday afternoon for the first night of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series Battle at the Crossroads.
Shirley struggled to find speed on night one which resulted in him taking a provisional for the $12,000-to-win opener. Brian stormed forward from 24th and recorded a 13th-place finish.
Finding much more speed early in the night on Saturday, Brian finished second in his heat race which placed him on the third-row of the feature. Shirley ran inside the Top-10 before a flat left rear ended his night early. He was scored 20th.
Brian Shirley is currently 12th in the World of Outlaw Point Standings.
